Restorative Yoga is a 60 minute class that includes restorative yoga postures, simple breathing practices, and mindfulness techniques with the goal of finding more ease in body and mind.
Restorative yoga postures counteract the muscle tension and stiffness that follow anxiety, poor posture, previous injury and inactivity. These gentle positions improve blood flow to the organ systems for optimal health and healing. The breathing practices help restore a natural breathing rhythm to balance the nervous system, increase the amount of circulating oxygen, and help to deepen awareness of our internal state. Mindfulness techniques calm and sharpen the mind and can provide insights into our response and tolerance to stress. Together, these components provide an hour to reclaim ownership of your well-being and prevent future imbalance and disease.
Beginning in March, class @ 10 am on Mondays. Also an evening class on Tuesdays @ 6 pm in the months of April, May, June, October, November & December. May drop in or purchase a package for a discounted rate.
