Ayurveda for Spring Season
with Roxie Sweikar, Yoga Therapist and Ayurveda Educator
Spring is a much anticipated time of year when we long for visible signs of blossoming, color, and warmer temperatures!
While we crave this transition, it may be challenging for some of us to ‘spring forth’ from our winter routines that kept us warm and protected during the colder season.
Ayurveda, the sister science to Yoga and the traditional naturopathic healing system of India, is a 5,000 year old healing tradition known as “The Wisdom of LIfe.” This way of life teaches us how to maintain and protect our health, youthfulness and vitality.
Our individual nature is intimately connected with all of nature. Aligning our personal daily practices with the season we are in will stimulate our natural healing process. In Ayurveda, springtime reflects the water and earth elements of nature. This is called Kapha season.
This workshop will include conversation on Ayurveda’s lifestyle practices and daily routines for the spring season, along with an energizing kapha balancing vinyasa flow to stoke the fire within and rejuvenate the body.
